DMR Net
This net meets every Tuesday at 8 PM on talk group 3150. In Vermont, we use the NEDECN network, and you can find your nearest repeater on this map.
This directed net is to make net communication routine, so we don’t have to think about the process during an emergency. All licensed amateurs are welcome to participate.
From Don – KB1VP:
For some clarity on RSSI the chart below shows S units common for amateur radios and RSSI reported by the DMR controller for what is heard at the repeater accessed. As you can see a RSSI of -100 or less, -100 to -126, the S units are 3 or less. A RSSI of -115 you are barely heard by the repeater and you can expect dropouts in your transmission.
I have recommended for some time now you strive for an RSSI of -100 or better. -99, -98, or better. I hope this chart helps you understand RSSI and enjoy DMR more.
